Smart Label
Prepare field operations
Thanks to 4 free fields (40 characters each), the lighting manager can facilitate and secure the installation operations when ordering by adding key project information to the label for the luminaire and the luminaire box. Project name, lighting class, application, location, specific references... Any type of information that might be useful can be added.
Installation and additional information
On-site, the installer can open the Smart Label portal and use it to scan the QR code on the luminaire or enter its serial number. The installer is then able to check the luminaire information, to access installation instructions and, as a registered user, to add the luminaire he/she is about to install to a specific project. When connected to the portal, the installer can also add key information for asset management: project name, automatic address extraction from the GPS position, pole number, type and height. He/she can use the free comment box to add any other relevant information for the project management over time.
Information import in an asset management system
As project administrator, the lighting manager can retrieve all data recorded on-site by the installer. The data can then be exported in a common Excel format (.csv) and added to a lighting management platform such as Schréder EXEDRA. This operation can be performed any time - after installation, after maintenance, after repairs - to provide up-to-date information.
Preparation, installation and maintenance
The Smart Label portal enables both the installer and the city manager to exchange critical information throughout the life cycle of the luminaire (installation, maintenance, repair). This platform makes operations more efficient by preventing unnecessary on-site visits. By doing so, cities can make significant savings and maintain lighting performance over time. When servicing the lighting scheme, the maintenance crew can record the date/operations completed. In case of luminaire failure, they can use the troubleshooting assistance and follow the instructions to find out the root cause, fix the issue and, if needed, request spare parts to repair the luminaire.
